Sanforizing Rubber Belts

Endless compressive shrinkage belts built for continuous mill operation — engineered for consistent fabric shrinkage, long service life, and edge crack resistance.

Built for the Sanforizer Nip

Our sanforizing belts run against the heated steam cylinder in your compressive shrinkage range, compressing fabric as it transitions from curved to flat belt travel. Every belt is made from thin-ply calendered rubber sheet for uniform density, high tensile strength, and resistance to heat, ozone and abrasion.

  • Straight, Regular, or Contour edge — straight edge offers the highest resistance to edge cracking
  • Custom circumference — standard 156" (3962mm), any length on request
  • Custom width, at least 6" (152mm) wider than your widest fabric
  • Ideal hardness 38–40 Shore "A" for optimum shrink control
  • Rated for 240°F–285°F normal cylinder operating range

How It Works

Key Belt System Components

Every part of the sanforizing belt system plays a role in consistent shrinkage.

Pressure Roll

Presses the belt (and fabric) against the heated cylinder to create the compression nip.

Steam Heated Cylinder

Heats the belt so fabric shrinks as it transitions from curved to flat belt travel.

Tension Roll

Keeps the belt under correct tension as it travels around the loop.

Idler Roll

Guides the belt smoothly through the return path of the loop.

Interior & Exterior Water Removal Rolls

Strip excess water from the belt's inner and outer surfaces before it re-enters the nip.

Water Spray

Cools and lubricates the belt at key points, protecting rubber life and controlling shrinkage.

Fabric Compatibility

Suited to Woven & Denim Finishing Lines

100% Cotton

Including heavy denim, which often needs up to 40% belt compression to reach target shrinkage.

Cotton Blends

Poly-cotton and blended wovens with tuned nip pressure for consistent shrink.

Mercerized & Indigo

Compatible with indigo-dyed denim finishing lines running at appropriate cylinder temperatures.

FAQ

Sanforizing Belt Questions, Answered

How much does a sanforizing rubber belt cost?

Sanforizing belt price depends on circumference, width, thickness, and edge type since each belt is custom-made to your machine. Share your machine model and dimensions on WhatsApp and we'll send an exact quote, usually the same day.

How long does a sanforizing belt last?

Belt life depends on operating temperature, nip pressure, lubricating water control, and grinding frequency. A well-maintained export-quality belt typically runs one to several years before replacement, with periodic resurfacing extending life further.

Which edge type should I choose: straight, regular, or contour?

Straight edge belts have the highest resistance to edge cracking and allow maximum fabric width on a narrow shrinking machine. Tell us your machine model and we'll recommend the right edge type for you.

Do you ship sanforizing belts internationally?

Yes — we're an export-quality manufacturer and ship worldwide with protected freight packing and customs documentation support.
